FAQ

What is the scent strength like?

Vanilla Flame offers a soft, subtle fragrance experience. Because it’s scented exclusively with pure essential oils, the aroma is gentle, designed to complement your space without overwhelming it.

Why essential oils instead of fragrance oils?

Fragrance oils often contain synthetic ingredients and undisclosed additives that can affect air quality and trigger sensitivities. We choose pure essential oils for a more natural and gentle aroma — clean ingredients you can feel good about bringing into your home.

Why beeswax & coconut wax?

Both waxes offer a cleaner burn compared to paraffin and allow us to avoid synthetic additives and stabilizers. Beeswax also produces a soft, natural glow and is known for its air-purifying properties.

Is the vessel reusable?

Yes. Once the candle is finished and the vessel has fully cooled, gently remove the wick clip from the bottom. Because we use an untreated cherry wood wick, there may be a small amount of wax left at the base — this can easily be cleaned out. Place the vessel in a bowl or sink and pour warm (not boiling) water inside to soften the wax, then wipe clean with a cloth.

Optional: For any remaining residue, you can also use a low-heat method, such as placing the vessel on a baking sheet in a warm oven (150–170°F) for a few minutes, to melt and lift stubborn wax.

Once clean, enjoy the glass however you’d like — as a minimal decorative piece or for storing small essentials.

How long does the candle burn?

Vanilla Flame has a 55 hour burn time.

How should I care for my candle?

Before each burn, gently remove any charred pieces of wood from the wick and keep it trimmed to about ⅛"–¼". This helps the flame stay consistent and clean. Allow the wax to melt to the edges of the vessel, especially on the first burn, to prevent tunneling. Always burn on a heat-safe surface and keep away from drafts or loose debris.

What if my candle tunnels or smokes?

A wick trim usually solves slight smoking. If tunneling occurs, allow the candle to burn longer to reset the melt pool. Proper care from the start ensures an even burn throughout its life.

Are your candles pet safe?

Our candles do not contain any of the essential oils that are considered high-risk for pets, and the oils we do use are properly diluted within the wax. Candle use creates far lower exposure than diffusing straight essential oils, so the risk is minimal. We always recommend burning in a ventilated space and making sure your pet can leave the room if they find the scent too strong.
